The new owners took over a couple months ago and claimed they were keeping the same recipes and everything the same, however this is not true. It’s not at all the same and I’m honestly very disappointed. I don’t think it’s very fair for all of the accomplishments of the old owners to be used and put up by the new owners (ex. Voted best ice cream in Annapolis 20XX). It might have the same name, but this is not the same ice cream that I’ve been enjoying for over 10 years. However, employees are extremely kind and there is a vast amount of flavors for a good price.

Great home made ice cream! Very disappointed you can no longer see the ice cream your ordering and the staff was very unpleasant. Another disappointment was the lack of decoration because in years passed the place had penguins and decorated spoons everywhere but now it’s is empty and not the same great overall experience.Overall just disappointed and hope for some changes.

Love the ice cream! It’s my favorite in Annapolis - one thing I’d change though is you can’t see the ice cream anymore since they covered it up! Please remove the covers so we can see the taste we love again 😊

Bottom line this place this place must be for the wealthy because all I ordered was 1 scoop in a cup and 1 scoop on a cone and paid damn near $10.00 and to be honest it wasn't even worth it because the cone was so small that it couldn't even hold any ice cream at all. Secondly, the flavor was not there at all. Third, they were training someone so she had no idea what she was doing. And lastly when the person who I assumed to be the owner told me the total she said it like it was the norm to pay that much for the incredibly small amount of product that I recieved. Next time I will just go to the grocery store and get a gallon of ice cream.

The new owners ruined everything good about this place. They used to have the best ice cream shop in Annapolis but 1) they changed the ice cream recipes (they’ll tell you they didn’t but that’s not true; the coconut in the coconut chocolate chip is now toasted when it didn’t used to be) 2) they got rid of all the penguins and decorated spoons that were fantastic decorations 3) they now cover up the glass on the ice cream cases so you can’t see the ice cream. They claim the new owners “don’t like the look of the ice cream boxes.” Who wants to buy ice cream that you can’t see? Super disappointed, I won’t be going here again despite it being my former favorite place for ice cream.

I visited Annapolis Ice Cream Company for the first time today. I knew I wanted ice cream and some kind of peanut butter ice cream. When I got there, the staff was nice and very helpful. They offered me several varieties and toppings. They even have peanut butter ice cream! I chose the vanilla ice with peanut butter cup toppings, but they were all out of toppings, so I chose the peanut butter moose track ice cream and had caramel drizzle on top. The ice cream comes in a small cup, which I did not think was enough for me. I tasted it and the ice cream was delicious, fresh and as a handmade ice cream should taste. To my surprise, the cup of ice cream was enough for me and had me more than satisfied. I will definitely be coming back to visit. It was soooooo goood! 🍨🍧😋😋😋😋

A good variety of ice cream just on the beautiful main Street of Annapolis. The portions are huge so just be aware when you are ordering a doubled or triple.

Great ice cream

Been coming here since 2007. While the inside has definitely changes (i miss the wall of spoons) the ice cream remains the same. I was a little disappointed recently when I couldn't find the usual chocolate peanut butter ice cream but I am hoping that it will come back!

We had sweet potato pie, coffee Heath, Samoa and vanilla. All were very good. The sweet potato pie ice cream had candied pecans in it that were delicious!

Crowded? Who cares! The Ice cream is so delicious, it's worth standing in line for it. Sample any or there 30+ flavors and enjoy a frosty piece of heaven. My choice? A few scoops of Apple Pie and a few scoops on Honey Graham....mmmmm, I love ice cream!

This used to be the best ice cream in Annapolis, but under new ownership they seem to have changed the recipes and it's just not the same. It's not as creamy and instead of tasting like homemade ice cream, now it's tastes like any other factory made stuff. So very sad.

Have you ever heard the term "a hole in the wall"? Well this is it, but with the biggest flavor! If you're ever in Annapolis, stop by and try their Cocolate Chip it's so good. Today I tried the Coconut Chocolate Chip and tomorrow I'm trying Vanilla Nutella. Their servings are ridiculous good! 1 scoop is their smallest, but you could serve 2 people with one. They have a tradition in which you can design your own spoon and they put them up on the wall.

I had the most wonderful first time visit. All of the ice cream flavors were there that I could think of and more. I ordered Blackberry Cobbler and Black Raspberry. Sooooo delicious and you can tell that it's homemade. I will visit again. Some flavors change daily while others are not. Definitely worth the money!!

They have a lot of unique and fun flavors here. It’s definitely high quality and the ice cream we had was tasty. It’s just not a very fun experience ordering there, when I went the shop smelled like toilet cleaner which kinda made me lose my appetite.

Really good ice cream. Would definitely eat the ice cream here again.....however something needs to be mentioned about their sanitation. There was an employee there that I would have refused service from as he had dried ice cream up and down it. I get that your might put your arm in a bucket of ice cream and you might get ice cream on your arm, but then your wash it off, yes? You don't move on to the next one and get a sundae of flavors all over your arm. It's gross. 😝

First time I ever had honey baklava ice cream. It is out of this world! The best ice cream in Annapolis!

Best Ice Cream EVER! Homemade ice cream in the heart of Annapolis....well homemade everything, including the cones. A nice crew of folks work there too. If you come to downtown Annapolis, you must stop in after dinner or for a midday snack in the summer...or anybtime of year. Their hot chocolate is good too.

Honestly only being able to rate Annapolis Ice Cream Co 5 stars seems a bit like an under rating.This is my absolute favorite place to get ice cream!The staff is always welcoming and friendly here,and the variety of flavors to choose from always makes it hard to choose which to go with. (*If it's your first time visiting--Get Cookie Monster and thank me later! :)

Amazing! The line was slightly out the door when we arrived. They moved fast though. Many flavors to choose from and you can sample the flavors. Oreo, strawberry cheesecake and the chocolate fudge brownie are delicious. A couple ahead of us in line suggested we try the Captain Crunch. We did: and it tastes just like the cereal. Be prepared to stroll thi the waterfront by parking 2-hours; or grab and go with the 30 minute meter.

Classic tourist spot for anyone visiting Annapolis! The decor is appealing and it's a great spot for families. Be prepared for large portions and higher prices (a single scoop is about $4.50). They have fun events like Christmas in July where they serve Christmas flavors. Don't miss it if you're visiting!

This is an awesome place to grab some ice cream in the Annapolis area and they make their own ice cream! Bonus! The customer service was great and they are super friendly.

I've been here several times, I have no idea what's going on right now but last time I visited here (mid-December) I swear I saw employees are hiding somewhere like under the cashiers counter or other place. I don't know they're playing their phones or trying to make the store looks like closed. But the store did looked like closed so there was no one going in. If the owner had ever wondering why your sales are dropping perhaps that's the reason.

THE BEST FOR 14 YEARS!!!This is a little hole in the wall ice cream parlor. It is by far, the most amazingly, delicious ice cream ever!!!If your in the area you have to try the Chocolate Oreo, sooo good! It's not the cheapest I ever had, but the do give huge portions. It's totally worth the extra buck!A sweet treat is the SPOONS. Yes, you get to decorate your own spoon that will be forever hung on the wall.

Delicious ice cream. You have to try this place. I got a vanilla shake and it was creamy and smooth. We also tried the cinnamon ice cream which was packed with flavor. Later that night I went back again for a coffee milkshake and I can't wait to visit again soon to get more. So many amazing flavor combinations that it's hard to choose one. Go try it, you're going to love it!

Came here with my wife after grabbing lunch elsewhere and walking around the area. Decided to give this place a try based on their reviews. The line was almost out the door, but I don't typically have a problem waiting.I got the chocolate chip cookie dough. It was pretty good, but didn't amaze me or had me wanting more.

Best ice cream quality and service in Annapolis. The service here is friendly and efficient, portions are ample and prices are fair. A wide variety of flavors to pick from so ask for a sample as you decide. This ice cream is a great balance of fat, sweet and ice crystal. Serving sizes can be made in half portions, so you can adjust exactly to your appetite.

The place is pretty small with a few tables. The staff works pretty fast and you do not have to wait in the line too long. However, the ice cream is just average. I tried several flavors: blueberry, lime, lemon and chocolate. Blueberry tasted like a plain creamy ice cream, lime and lemon were lacking flavor but they were just a little bit sour. Chocolate was the best amomg all, but not the best I have ever had. All of them were too sweat and felt like they were made out of the same base by just adding some coloring. The guy at the register was so kind to change my blueberry ice cream with chocolate for free when I complained about it.

Both traditional and unique flavors. Strawberry Cheesecake is delicious with coconut chip, on the level. We as a group tried eleven flavors not one less than a 5 star version of flavor. Samples are free and plentiful to help you decide on a flavor. Great ice cream.

This place was packed when we were walking through Annapolis. We stopped in and got through pretty quick. Service was friendly and fast. There are loads of flavors to choose from. Our group loved everything! Can't beat ice cream on a hot July day!

By far, the best ice cream in Annapolis! Could be the best in Maryland or the US!

Why doesn't Maryland have more ice cream joints? They all seem to have congregated in Annapolis. I guess that makes it easier to visit them when they're all in the same place, but then I have to eat many scoops of ice cream. Perhaps they could borrow from the wineries and organize an "ice cream trail." I think folks would dig something like that. Bonus: all that walking helps burn off ice cream calories. Win-win. They could offer "tastings" and then I would get to try a variety of flavors. Annapolis Ice Cream Company strikes a nice balance between not enough variety and too many to choose from. And their ice cream is pretty good, too.
